- Last fall Bishop-McCann brought comedian, actress, and author Amy Poehler to Kansas City as the kickoff speaker for CHAT, the company's new live speakers series designed to bring inspiring and educational events to its headquarters city. The three speakers in the fall focused on women's empowerment. This year STEM education is the CHAT theme, with a July talk by Malala Yousafzai, a 19-year-old Pakistani woman who was shot by the Taliban in 2012 on her way to school. Each of the CHAT events, held at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, involves a community giveback component.
- After many years as a marketing, communication, and meeting planning consultant, Kendra Murray, CMM, CIS, joined Bishop-McCann in April as vice president, meetings & incentives, overseeing program operations, on-site operations, global sourcing, and travel services. In other staff news, Mara Warren has been named director, program operations, in the Chicago office.
- In January, the company opened new offices Minneapolis.
- Among Bishop-McCann's newest clients are Xerox and haircare company Kevin Murphy.
