Once a year, Corporate Meetings & Incentives brings together the members of its Golden Links Advisory Board to keep our collective fingers on the pulse of the golf industry. This year's meeting, hosted by CMI's Editor Barbara Scofidio and Group Publisher Peter Huestis, was held at the Marriott Orlando World Center in January. After a morning of discussion and debate, the group headed for the recently unveiled Hawk's Landing golf course (which was redesigned to a par 72 and expanded to 6,900 yards by renowned golf course architect Robert E. Cupp II) for a tournament hosted by the resort and Pro-Link.
The Golden Links Advisory Board is made up of 33 PGA professionals and golf industry experts, all with extensive experience planning golf events. To learn more about them, see pages 74-75. Also, don't miss our Guide to Planning Effective Golf Events, beginning on page 57, which was compiled with their help. New this year, several members share their event-planning war stories, beginning on page 49.
