Vice president of industry relations for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, based in Washington, D.C.
If you could be anywhere in the world, where would you be?
Anyplace where there are sidewalk cafes and interesting people to watch
What's playing on your iPod?
Hmm, lots of jazz, Sinatra, Bennett, but I'm also a big Steely Dan fan. They're arguably the best group of big-name, no-ego musicians ever assembled.
If you could be a superhero, what super power would you want?
To fly. I have that dream once every couple of months.
It's time for a second career, what do you choose?
Architect/interior designer. It's nowhere near as hard as people make it look.
When your life story is made into a movie, who should they cast as you?
Since Cary Grant is not around any longer, it would probably have to be George Hamilton. Who else looks that great and never wears socks?
What's the best book you read in the past year?
The Spies of Warsaw. Alan Furst is the best author since Graham Greene or John LeCarre. Anything by him is a must-read.
What's your hidden talent?
Woodworking. For people who know me, they're shocked that I would get my hands dirty!
Who inspires you?
My mom and dad. They taught us kids to do many things, not take ourselves seriously, sit up straight, be outgoing, and have a sense of humor.
What is your favorite cause/charity?
Renal and heart-related causes (both run in the family).
What do you do to stay healthy?
Not as much as I should, but lots of chocolate and red wine help!
What is your greatest strength?
To not take myself seriously
