Why not give your attendees a chance to play in one of baseball's classic “green cathedrals”? At Big League Dreams Sports Parks, groups can play ball (albeit softball) at a replica classic ballpark. In Cathedral City, Calif., the company has built three-quarter-scale replicas of Wrigley Field, Fenway Park, and Yankee Stadium, and in Riverside, Calif., the Polo Grounds and Forbes Field (and a second Fenway). Ballparks can be hired out by groups of 20 to 1,000 people.

“You can rent the entire complex or just one or two fields,” says Mike Doyle, director of group business. Big League Dreams offers packages that supply softball equipment, umpires, announcers, even organists. The company also works with organizations in advance so that they can do some colorful announcing as players come to bat.

Group fees start at $1,500. For more information, take a swing by the Baseball Dreams Web site, www.bigleaguedreams.com.
