These are just some recommendations for environmentally friendly meetings released in April by the Convention Industry Council's Green Meetings Task Force. The group's 12-page report, available at www.conventionindustry.org, delivers best practices for suppliers and event organizers, covering issues around destination selection, transportation, food and beverage, communications, and more. In each section, the authors outline “minimum best practices” and “strongly recommended best practices,” and offer a variety of resource links.
