With three brushes in each hand, Denny Dent is about to have an art attack. He leaps across the stage, singing, shaking, even screaming to a Jimi Hendrix tune as he splatters his paints on a huge canvas. By the time just three songs are through, he has created a work of art.
Most of Dent's works are bright portraits of American icons (Hendrix, Marilyn Monroe, John Coltrane, and others). He has performed for companies including Harley-Davidson, Taco Bell, and IBM. Dent's message is simple: Everyone is an artist. It's not what you do, it's how you do it that makes you one.
The price for an art attack? A four-portrait extravaganza goes for $20,000, and customized shows, which can feature paintings of CEOs, start at $25,000.
