Meetings and incentive travel buyers flocked to the links April 4 through 6 during the Second Annual Las Vegas Corporate Invitational Golf Tournament. Co-produced by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority and The Meetings Group/Intertec Publishing, event play took place on the emerald greens of Angel Park Golf Club and Las Vegas Paiute Golf Club.
Trophies and prizes were given during the awards banquet to the overall winning foursome as well as to the first-place team for each of the two tournament days. The winning foursome, pictured in the top photo, was, from left, Gary DeVost, Sr. VP of corporate communications, Horizon Solutions; Marla Laughlin, director of sales, Gold Nugget Las Vegas; Donna Swenson, manager of account services and events, Motorola; and Van Mayros, president, InfoMarketing.
A Grand Prize Drawing was held at the banquet, and Mark Pash, chairman of the board, The Planners Network, on right in bottom left photo, walked away the winner. Connie Jalet, sales executive, LVCVA, presented Pash with his prize.
And the winners of the Booked Most Room Nights Event (2000 to 2001), pictured at right, were Debra Jacobs, VP operations, Resort Meetings Consortium, left; and Jerry Janove, VP sales, Resort Meetings Consortium, right. Hutch Looney, president, Hutch Looney & Associates, (center) presented the winners with their awards.
