A combination of aesthetic appeal and state-of-the art technology won the boardroom in Medtronic Inc.'s Creekside Conference Center top honors in Presentations magazine's 1998 Best Presentation Rooms Awards. Medtronic, a leading medical equipment manufacturer based in Minneapolis, needed a room suitable for both board of directors meetings and general group functions. Designers Caribiner International responded by specifying dark woods and black leather seating to create an elegant ambiance, and equipment that supports many kinds of cutting-edge presentations. Chief among the high-tech gear: a rear-projection system and multiple screens that enable simultaneous viewing of presentation slides, Web sites, or multiple videoconference windows.
