Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority The best thing about Las Vegas is that there are so many options. There are more than 106,000 hotel rooms, many in the mega-resorts that are the city's signature attractions. The entertainment is more spectacular than ever with superstars of comedy, music, and magic, as well as the world's most elaborately staged productions. Downtown, the Fremont Street Experience wows visitors with free light and sound shows on a canopy covering four city blocks. Las Vegas is also home to some of the world's top names in dining and shopping. During the day, the dry climate is perfect for golf or a visit to nearby Red Rock Canyon, Hoover Dam, or Lake Mead. Las Vegas offers meeting executives 4.2 million square feet of space to work with, and when the day's work is done, Las Vegas's casinos provide their own brand of excitement 24 hours a day.
