Registration is still open for Meeting Visions 2002, the third annual meeting technology conference convening in Maui December 5 to 9. The event's speaker roster is a who's who of technology meeting experts, including senior managers from Cisco Systems, Oracle Corp., and Nortel Networks, and noted industry observers, such as technology consultant Corbin Ball and E.J. Siweck, president of FlashPoint Technologies.
The heart of Meeting Visions 2002 is “all about educating meeting planners about emerging technologies,” says Loren Malenchek, high-tech Maui program director, Maui Economic Development Board, which is sponsoring the conference in association with Corporate Meetings & Incentives magazine.
Of special interest this year will be a presentation by a keynote speaker at a distant location to be projected, or “teleported,” onstage within a 3D environment. The speaker will appear as if actually in the room, capable of eye contact and real-time interaction with the audience.
