Meeting Visions, an annual meeting technology conference hosted by the Maui Economic Development Board Inc., took its concept on the road this spring.
Meeting Visions 2003 Snapshot, a one-day event held at the Sheraton Palo Alto, Calif., in May, focused on event crisis management with roundtable discussions and a presentation on content management software by Rodman Marymor, president and CEO of Cardinal Communications.
Meeting Visions' annual December gatherings in Wailea, Maui, have distinguished themselves for attracting high-level attendees, and Snapshot did the same. Roundtable leaders included Carolyn Pund, CMP, CMM, senior manager for Americas event marketing, Nortel Networks; Michele Snock, manager of meetings and events, Cisco Systems; and Cardinal's Marymor, who explored meeting crisis scenarios posed by MEDB's Sharon Mecum. Attendees included planners from Franklin Templeton Investments; UCSF School of Medicine; UCSF Continuing Medical Education Department; and Stanford University Medical Center.
