The Canadian Tourism Commission has named Robin Thompson meeting and incentive travel specialist. Thompson, who will be based in San Francisco, had been director of group sales at the Renaissance Stanford Court Hotel in San Francisco.
Sue Hocking has been appointed convention services manager at the Adelaide Convention Centre in South Australia. Hocking has served at the center since its 1987 opening, most recently as function coordinator.
The St. Louis Convention & Visitors Commission has named Kathie Mullen conference sales executive, responsible forthe St. Louis Executive Conference Center at America's Center, a facility designed for meetings of fewer than 100 people. She previously served at the America's Center as event coordinator.
The Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau has promoted Stacey Geyer to the newly created position of director of sales promotions. She had been director of convention services. Sian Moynihan has joined as director of bureau services (formerly convention services). Previously, she served at the Westin Michigan Avenue, also in Chicago, as national sales manager.
The Reno-Sparks (Nev.) Convention & Visitors Authority has named Michael Collins national convention sales manager. Collins, who will handle the corporate and incentive market, joins from the Rio Suite Hotel/Casino in Las Vegas, where he served as director of sales.
