Insurance Organizations Mary H. Rowley has joined the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters Society in Malvern, PA as vice president of communications, overseeing the society's publications, conference support, and national and chapter public relations, among other duties. She had been president of Rowley Communications, Inc. in Wilmington, DE.

Mary Bell, former president of the Insurance Conference Planners Association, is once again planning meetings for her company, which was recently renamed AmerUS Life. After serving as director, marketing services, Bell has moved into the job of director, conventions and meetings and has a new assistant meeting planner on her team, Sheila Kellow, who was promoted from her post as agency services representative.

Convention Centers and Bureaus Ken Lambert was named regional director, The Americas for the Hong Kong Tourist Association. Based in Los Angeles, Lambert will oversee offices in New York, Chicago, and Toronto. He had been president of the Ottawa Tourism and Convention Authority.

Deborah Muszynski was named corporate sales manager at the Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau, working with major U.S. corporations and incentive houses. She had been corporate sales manager at the Hyatt Regency, Dallas.

Ronnie L. Burt, Jr. (left) was named sales manager for the Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority convention development department. He will be responsible for booking corporate meetings. He had been casino host and assistant to the casino manager at Caesars Atlantic City.

Cheryl Mello, CMP, has joined the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence as events coordinator. She had been project manager with the corporate marketing department of Metropolitan Property and Casualty Insurance Company in Warwick, RI.

Hotels and Travel Ronald Tarson has been named ITT Sheraton's vice president and regional director, hotel marketing, North America Division as well as director of marketing for the Sheraton Boston Hotel & Towers. Tarson had been rooms division director for the Sheraton Centre Hotel & Towers in Toronto and director of hotel marketing, North America Division.

Victoria Hettleman recently joined the New York regional sales office of Associated Luxury Hotels International as director of sales. She had been director of sales for Sterling Hotels and Resorts' New York regional office.

Mark Komine is the new area director of sales and marketing for The Westins of New England, which include the Westin Hotel, Copley Place in Boston; Westin Hotel, Waltham (MA); and Westin Hotel, Providence (RI). Komine had been with The Fairmont Hotel in Chicago.

Michael Consuelo (left) , a 20-year veteran of the hospitality industry, was appointed director of sales for The Disneyland Hotel and Disneyland Pacific Hotel in Anaheim, CA. Consuelo had been director of sales and marketing for the Sheraton Saratoga Springs (NY) Hotel.

Laurence Mountcastle is the new director of sales and marketing at the Kona Village Resort on the Big Island of Hawaii. Mountcastle had been director of marketing for the Mauna Lani resort area on the Big Island.

Sarah Grace was appointed director of sales and marketing for Regal Harvest House in Boulder, CO. She was director of sales and marketing for the Radisson Hotel Denver South.

Amy Gallo has been named director of sales for the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Cincinnati. She had been convention sales manager for the Regal Cincinnati and the Cincinnati Marriott.

Ron Naples was named director of the Manhattan Conference Center and Hudson Theatre at the Millennium Broadway in New York City. He had been with Smith Barney, where he rose to become the company's first vice president of conference services.

David C. Akin was promoted to associate director of sales at The Breakers in Palm Beach, FL. He had been sales manager for New York corporate and association accounts, which he will continue to manage in his new position.

Debra A. Joseph has joined the Palm Coast (FL) Resort as associate director of sales, managing group sales. She had been national sales manager at Adam's Mark Resort in Daytona, FL.

Lisa Walker was named national sales manager for The Ritz-Carlton, Bali, set to open late this year. Walker, who will be based in the Irving, TX sales office of the Ritz-Carlton, Bali, had been associate director of sales at The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua in Maui, Hawaii.

Lisa Chu has been appointed corporate sales manager for the Westin Bonaventure Hotel and Suites in Los Angeles. She had been associate director of sales at the Wyndham Hotel Northwest Chicago.

Dennis A. Tucker returns to American Airlines as the new national sales manager, insurance industry sales. Tucker, who is based at the Dallas/Fort Worth airport, most recently served as director of sales for Fairfield, NJ-based Incentive Travel, but before that had logged an 18-year career with American.

Meeting Services Clay Pederson, formerly the vice president of education and public relations and meeting planner for the National Farmers Union, is now president of his own firm, Convention Consultants, a meeting planning and site selection company based in Denver.

Ralph Behrsin was named director of incentive sales at Patti Roscoe Associates (PRA), a destination management company with offices throughout Southern California. Behrsin, who had been director of incentive sales at the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel, will be based in PRA's Orange County office.
