AMEX MEETING CARD
Paying and tracking meeting-related expenses just got easier: American Express has launched the Corporate Meeting Card specifically for meetings and events.
The card, beta-tested by nearly 200 companies, helps planners on the front end by identifying them as the corporate meeting planners and eliminating the need for multiple credit applications, and on the back end by consolidating meeting expenditures into one statement. Planners can receive an electronic bill, allowing them to designate charges to specific cost centers in their accounting software. American Express is working with major hotel chains to get the card accepted for unlimited meeting charges. At the 80-plus hotels already in the program, credit applications are no longer necessary.
