At the 6th Insurance Conference Planners Association Summer FORUM, held July 12 to 14 in Québec City, attendees got not only a wide range of educational sessions but also some top-notch entertainment. The opening night's kickoff? An elaborate costumed dinner and musical revue at the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac featuring talented local performers singing a range of Broadway tunes.

The second evening, the city went all out with a fabulous party showcasing the Québec City Convention Center as a special-event venue. The pre-entertainment reception was an event in itself. Strolling jugglers and musicians wove among the group, while waiters served hors d'oeuvres and champagne, and body-paint artists were at their stations ready to turn FORUM attendees' faces, throats, arms — any exposed flesh they viewed as a blank canvas! — into works of art. The curtains parted, and attendees followed the musicians into the dramatically lighted dining space for a private, world premier performance of the city's own Cirque Eos. The stunningly costumed, diversely talented performers entertained with mime, acrobatics (even a contortionist!), and humor.

A talented team pulled everything off flawlessly: Andrée Gauthier of JPdL Québec Inc.; Ken Hall and Dany Thibault of Fairmont Le Château Frontenac; Martin LaChance and Hélène Pomerleau of Québec City & Area Tourism & Convention Bureau, and Brigitte Cantin of the Québec City Convention Centre.
