Every year, those who fill out a Medical Meetings' Merit & Distinction ballot nominating their favorite hotels, resorts, and conference centers for an M&D Award are entered into a drawing to win a special vacation package. This year, Amy O'Barr, coordinator, Continuing Medical Education, Axcan Pharma, Axcan Scandipharm Inc., Birmingham, Ala., was the lucky winner of a four-day, three-night stay for two in Florida at Amelia Island Planation's Amelia Inn, plus a spa treatment and a complimentary round of golf.
