tough spots

The disclosure police have a tough beat. Attendees peppered Collins with questions: What if--

* Speakers refuse to disclose? Take them off the program, or disclose that the person refused to disclose.

* The disclosure is false, misleading, or inadequate? "If someone lies to you, it is not your fault, provided you have no reason to know [what they said] is not true," said Collins.

* In the middle of a presentation, a speaker launches into blatant promotion of a product? "Your obligation is not to shut the lights off and call the cops," Collins quipped. But, make sure you can prove that what the speaker did departed from your agreement.
