There’s no doubt about it: Today’s meeting attendees are addicted to their mobile devices—to the point where the idea of being out of mobile phone contact gives them “nomophobia.” That’s how Kevin Long, vice president of marketing and operations with CrowdCompass by Cvent, opened a session on mobile apps at the Corporate Meetings Summit, a Cvent user conference held in Las Vegas in June.
“For the first time ever, there are more mobile devices than people,” he added, and more people in the U.S. are accessing the Internet now on mobile devices than on PCs.
