The Telluride Tourism Board has introduced five new experiential development tracks designed to help groups align their goals, objectives, and participants' interests with local offerings. For example, one track, developed to encourage collaboration and relationship growth, integrates into the mountain environment through activities that include historical Telluride GPS orienteering, a box canyon version of TV’s “Amazing Race,” and a San Juan off-road rally. Other tracks include motivational activities that offer the opportunity to experience a once-in-a-lifetime moment; and custom loyalty experiences. There’s also a leadership development track that includes fly-fishing and winter rescue. Finally, there are social responsibility activities designed to enable participants to gain a greater understanding of the area’s social and environmental values, a deeper appreciation of co-workers and brand cultural ethics, and an increased level of self-worth knowing that they have made a difference in someone else’s life.
Groups interested in offering activities in these tracks will work closely with the Telluride Tourism Board to assess the group’s objectives. The board then will provide a suite of experiences designed to help achieve the identified goals.
