Conduct a risk assessment of your business operations, office space, critical business elements, exterior environment, etc., to identify your risks exposure. Develop and test a business continuity plan that includes emergency procedures and communications, a leadership succession plan for all key positions, maintain current emergency contact information for all staff and key resources, etc. Automatically back-up your company data daily and store it in a distinctly separate and SECURE location.
Determine if your key suppliers and contractors have business continuity plans to continue supporting your business. If not, insist that they develop one.
