John Jurica, MD and Mark Schaffer, EdM named ACCME Chief Accreditation Surveyors

The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) is pleased to announce that John Jurica, MD and Mark Schaffer, EdM have been named the ACCME's first Chief Accreditation Surveyors.

The Chief Surveyor role was created to provide additional support to the 100 volunteer surveyors and to work closely with the ACCME staff in integrating new policies and programs to improve the accreditation process. The Chief Surveyors will be asked to assist the ACCME with its ongoing implementation of the accreditation process, specifically the survey portion of the process, and assist with the initial and ongoing training of surveyors.
