In a story about OAUG in the January/February 2000 issue, we quoted the head of Melbourne, Australia's convention bureau as saying that his city gets more total meetings business than Sydney. To clarify, Melbourne has said its analysis comes from the cities' convention bureau annual reports. The Sydney bureau's marketing arm points out that statistics from the International Congress & Convention Association on international meetings show that in 1998 Sydney had 30 to Melbourne's 27, and in 1999 Sydney had 38 to Melbourne's 22.
