Mark Theis, vice president of the San Francisco Convention and Visitors Bureau, will be leaving his post to join the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau as executive vice president, sales. In addition to serving for 12 years with the San Francisco CVB, he also has worked in a sales capacity for the Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau (LA Inc.) and Marriott Hotels and Resorts.

Theis also is a member of the Professional Convention Management Association, Destination Marketing Association International, American Society of Association Executives, Meeting Professionals International, and Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International.
