Who said toys were just for kids? Legoland California (www.lego.com/legoland/california) now hosts corporate events with teambuilding exercises that are sure to take you back in time.

“It's something that really brings out the child in us all, because a good majority of people have played with LEGO bricks,” says Deanne Olsen, CMP, Legoland's Special Event National Account Representative.

Exercises are offered in three categories: Team Building (teams work against the clock to create a specific LEGO model); Creativity Building (participants are given a group- or company-related theme and instructed to create a LEGO model); and Mindstorms (individuals or teams build computerized LEGO robots).

“I would highly recommend Legoland for anyone who's considering holding a fun teambuilding event,” says Rebecca Morgan, Business Operations Coordinator, Microsoft Consulting Services, Northern California. Morgan's team recently participated in the Mindstorms exercise. Legoland's park in Carlsbad, Calif., recently debuted the 4,800-square foot Grand Pavilion, a permanent tent structure designed for up to 500 people. In addition to the California park, there are Legoland locations in Denmark, England, and Germany.
