Blogs are being used for promoting and building community around meetings and events (73 percent), followed by positioning oneself as a meetings industry expert (55 percent). Ninety percent of blogging respondents blog professionally (only 10 percent blog for personal reasons and not professionally). More than one-third of respondents (37 percent) follow industry blogs written by others.
