A new association, Exhibit & Event Marketers Association, has been born out of the merger of the Trade Show Exhibitors Association and the Exhibitor Appointed Contractor Association.

In February, TSEA dissolved and merged with the Exhibitor Appointed Contractor Association. “The establishment of a new name for the association is another in a list of many transitional items the association has been undertaking in the past several weeks and months,” explained Jim Wurm, executive director at EEMA, which is branding itself as E2MA. Wurm was the executive director at EACA. “Now that we have announced our new name we can be about the business of renewing and revitalizing the member programs that have been previously enjoyed by both TSEA and EACA members.”

The association will unveil its new logo and rebranding initiative at its annual meeting, the Red Diamond Congress, July 10–12 in Chicago. The Web address of the association will remain EACA.com until the re-branding is complete.

The mission of the E2MA is to enhance the expertise of exhibit and event planner professionals in exhibit and event marketing, and to raise the level of service excellence on the show floor. The new association comprises more than 500 member companies representing more than 17,500 full-time trade show professionals. “By having both exhibitors and their contractors under the same organization, we will work together to better serve the industry and to advocate for the issues members most need,” Wurm said.
