THIS WEBINAR IS AVAILABLE ON DEMAND 24/7
The Live Webinar took place on Thursday, May 29, 2014 @ 2 p.m ET / 11 a.m PT
In the meetings industry, room block poaching refers to businesses that actively seek to recruit or divert event attendees away from officially contracted room blocks at hotels and into other hotel bookings.
The Convention Industry Council’s Accepted Practices Exchange (APEX) recently formed a new workgroup to tackle the issue of room block poaching, or piracy. The mission is to share best practices for all stakeholders: meeting organizers, hotels, convention and visitor bureaus, exhibitors, and—ultimately—the attendee.
Join members of the workgroup who will share topline results of a recent industry poll on the subject and offer best practices at a free MeetingsNet one-hour webinar on May 29 at 2 p.m. ET.
You will take away:
- Early results of a recent planner survey, which our panelists will put into real-world context
- Best practices, tools, and resources to combat piracy and protect your room blocks, your customer relationships, and your brand
- Ideas for how you can be part of the solution
