Cheryl K. Nordstedt, has retired as executive director of The American Academy of Dermatology after 25 years with AAD. She started in 1978 as director of the meetings and conventions department. During her tenure, the size of AAD's annual meeting has jumped from 6,500 attendees to more than 16,000. She served on the board of directors of the Professional Convention Management Association and she chaired its annual meeting in 1991. Nordstedt has established her own consulting firm,
