A new data visualization company, Etch, is taking all that data from our check-ins on Foursquare and mapping it out into a pretty cool-looking graphic (read more about it on Wired). While it doesn't sound like it has the capacity yet to map out group check-ins, I could see this being a very interesting way to visualize an event by showing in a pretty way where your conference's hot spots are. Assuming, of course, that your attendees are as addicted to Foursquare as I am!
