Unconventional profit maker

All too often, new convention centers take years and years to become profitable. But Overland Park, Kan., had a much better experience, according to a press release:

The Overland Park Convention Center, the 237,000 sq. ft. exhibit, convention and meeting space located in the Kansas City suburb of Overland Park, will operate with a profit in only its second year of operation, according to Global Spectrum, the company hired to operate the Convention Center.
