The Convention Industry Council is nearly halfway through a six-month project, which was started in April, to address attrition issues in the meeting industry. Project Attrition will include an industrywide study of attendees' behavior when making hotel reservations for meetings. The study hopes to report on what can be done to motivate attendees to book within a contracted block.
