On the coast just north of Santa Barbara, Calif., the property that was once Miramar by the Sea reopens as Rosewood Miramar Beach Montecito on February 12. Miramar by the Sea closed in 2000, and the new resort broke ground in 2016 on its ultra-luxury makeover.
The 124 rooms and 37 suites include beachfront accommodations and multi-bedroom bungalows, and its 27,700 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space includes a ballroom, boardroom, meeting room, patios, lawns, and gardens. The two largest spaces are the 6,561-square-foot Chandelier Ballroom, divisible into four smaller rooms, and the 7,926-square-foot Great Lawn, that can host up to 400 people for a reception.
Amenities at the property, about 100 miles north of Los Angeles, include the Sense Spa, with six treatment rooms; fitness and yoga studios; two pools, and two restaurants.
