Incentive Trips Going to the Highest Bidder

The Site International Foundation is offering anyone with an Internet connection the chance to score an incentive-level travel experience to one of 14 destinations as part of its Around the World online auction. A nonprofit organization, the Site International Foundation raises funds for research, trend analysis, and educational program support for the incentive and travel professional.

The packages up for bid, which include itineraries in Asia, Europe, and the United States, have been designed with the independent world traveler in mind, according to Kurt Paben, Site International Foundation president. “Itineraries like these aren’t always readily available outside the motivational events industry network,” he noted.
The five-to-seven-day itineraries are designed for two people and include world-class hotels and tours. The packages all have Buy It Now buttons, for those who feel the prices are too good to pass up!

The Site Foundation believes that “motivational experiences are a powerful business tool that corporations of all sizes use to reward and unlock human potential to achieve corporate objectives.” According to the U.S. Travel Association, incentive travel accounts for 15 percent of all travel spending, and it is responsible for 2.4 million jobs, $240 billion in spending, and $39 billion in tax revenue annually.

Site sponsors have donated the experiences that are being auctioned off. “Our members and partners believe in the power of rewarding workplace performance and want to help educate the public of that value,” Paben said.
