ON DAUFUSKIE ISLAND, S.C., Troon Golf took over management last year of the golf courses at Daufuskie Island Resort & Breathe Spa. Across Calibouge Sound from Hilton Head Island, the 190-room resort features The Melrose Course, a Jack Nicklaus Signature Course where the last three holes play along the Atlantic shoreline. The Bloody Point course, designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish, is set along the Mungen River Highland with a view of Savannah.
