Early summer 2013 saw the opening of Hilton Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa, a reflagging of the Ravella at Lake Las Vegas. The property, which was originally a Ritz-Carlton resort (from 2003 to 2010), had re-opened as Ravella in 2011, operated by Dolce Hotels.
The 14-acre resort is 20 miles from the strip, in Henderson, Nev., on the shore of (and over!) the 3,600-acre lake from which the property takes its name.
Meetings and events at the 349-room resort can spread out in 35,000 square feet of indoor function space, including an 11,813-square-foot grand ballroom. And when the meetings are over, guests will find almost as much room in the spa. The 30,000-square-foot facility includes 24 treatment rooms, a sauna, steam room, and fitness center.
The resort also features a number of outdoor meeting spaces and a pool with private cabanas, and access to a Jack Nicklaus–designed golf course and the adjacent Village at Lake Las Vegas, with its marina, shops, and restaurants.
The 493-room Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa also operates in the Lake Las Vegas development.
