Executive Chef Peter Sherlock didn't know much about computers when he moved from New York to San Francisco in May 1997 to take a post at the Fairmont Hotel. But just a year and a half later, after teaching himself how to use PowerPoint, Photoshop, and a digital camera, he's made some palatable improvements in the way his banquet department does business.
