According to this article on CBS MarketWatch, they're the most popular meetings and convention cities for everything from board meetings to citywides. Las Vegas has 203 events on the books for this year, Toronto 154, and NYC has 134.
Though New York better watch its rates. Vegas has a bunch of relatively inexpensive hotels and capacity up the wazoo (whatever a wazoo may be), and Toronto has a cheap dollar and even cheaper flights these days. But New York, well, it's known for many things, but affordability usually isn't the first thing that comes to mind. But for high-end or East Coast-centric events, my money's still on the Big Apple. And Chicago, #4 with 110 conventions, is nipping at its heels.
Rounding out the top 10 list are Orlando, Dallas, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., San Francisco, and San Diego.
