Just wanted to point you toward a very interesting article and discussion going on at DB s Medical Rants. When I posted a while back about this book, with the inflammatory title of The Truth About the Drug Companies: How They Deceive Us and What to Do About It, I couldn t help but wonder if CME providers were going to start feeling the heat yet again over pharma s role in CME.
Seems to me that this is the perfect opportunity for CME providers to step up and take the media on to defend their practices, and inform them on all the safeguards that are in place to make sure that just the problems Angell discusses in her book don t take place.
