The American Medical Association did not approve a proposal by the Council on Ethical and Judicial Affairs to eliminate commercial support from CME, but the proposal could return in another form next year.

A recommendation by the American Medical Association's Council on Ethical and Judicial Affairs to eliminate pharmaceutical industry funding from medical education was not approved by the AMA's Reference Committee, but could return in another form next year.
