There's almost always something new and grand to anticipate in Las Vegas, and this year is no exception. In the meetings arena, the lead headlines in 2001 are reserved for the Las Vegas Convention Center. Construction workers have been laboring there since April 2000 on a $150 million expansion project that will add more than 1 million square feet of exhibit and meeting space; completion is scheduled for December.
