Cambria hotels & suites is the upscale brand within the Choice Hotels portfolio. During the Choice Annual Convention, held each year in Las Vegas, Cambria executives plan an exclusive reception and awards presentation for Cambria owners, general managers, directors of sales, and management company representatives. “The primary goals for this event are celebration and unification,” explains Tony Smith, brand planning and implementation, Cambria hotels & suites, and Michael Lusick, vice president, upscale brands, at Choice Hotels. “As a high-profile emerging brand, there is a lot of pressure to perform. This means our teams have to out-work their competition. This event celebrates our shared successes of the past year as well as outstanding individual performances. The success or failure of each hotel has a significant impact on the entire brand, and as such it is important that we work together.”
