The Hilton Tucson El Conquistador will open a new 11,000-square-foot conference center this spring.
The Executive Conference Center at Hilton El Conquistador features eight meeting rooms including one permanent boardroom with a built-in 70 inch LED television for presentations. It will be the only conference center in Tucson.
“With a number of pharmaceutical, financial, and high-tech, industry-leading companies based in Tucson we saw a demand in the area for a full-service conference center,” said Lynn Ericksen, general manager, Hilton Tucson El Conquistador. “The Executive Conference Center at Hilton El Conquistador will satisfy this need and benefit local businesses as well as out-of-state companies that choose Tucson as their conference destination.”
The conference center is designed for groups of 10 to 100 attendees. Most meeting rooms will have windows and some will offer balconies with spectacular views of the Catalina Mountains. The rooms also feature state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment, ergonomic seating, worktables with non-reflective surfaces and built-in electrical outlets, as well as specially designed energy-efficient lighting.
The conference center also includes a staffed business center and two dedicated break areas. Groups will also be able to enjoy the resort’s signature restaurants: Sundance, an American café concept; and Dos Locos, featuring cuisine inspired by the flavors of the Southwest. The hotel has 428 guest rooms and 31,000 square feet of meeting space, separate from the Executive Conference Center.
The conference center is seeking certification from the International Association of Conference Centers. The Hilton Tucson El Conquistador is accepting reservations for events in the second quarter of 2012.
