San Antonio's Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center has undergone $40 million in renovations in the past two years, including the construction of the facility’s newest outdoor space, Plaza Acequia. The 20,000-square-foot space will accommodate up to 1,500 guests for receptions. The plaza is named after the acequia (irrigation system) that colonial Spain built on this site in the 1700s. The plaza is scheduled for completion this fall.
