Marriott International has moved travelers a step closer to their dream of universal free hotel Wi-Fi. Marriott announced today that the 47 million members of its loyalty program, Marriott Rewards (free to join), who book their hotel stays direct—that is, through Marriott.com, Marriott’s mobile app, 1-800-MARRIOTT, or through a Marriott hotel—will have free Wi-Fi at more than 3,800 hotels globally as of January 15, 2015.
